Meet the Mets

I went to the Manhattan Build-A-Bear Workshop this morning and met New York Mets pitchers Aaron Heilman and Steve Trachsel.

Not that many people turned out for the event, so I was able to go back through the line a second time to get a couple of baseball cards signed in addition to the photos they were distributing.

Afterwards, I headed over to Shea Stadium to see who’d sign by the players’ parking lot. Not that many people wanted to bother, but announcer Ron Darling, 2B Jose Valentin, RHP Duaner Sanchez, and OF Endy Chavez did.

Overall, it was a pretty good day… I’m not sure when I’ll get out to Shea again, but I’d guess not before next month.
