Lelands is auctioning off George Foster’s 1986 World Series ring. With 18 days left to go, there have already been six bids and the price is up to $8,857.50. Now that’s at least $8,800 more than I can afford to spend right now, but I have to admit that it would be kind of neat to own an actual World Series ring.
Much cooler than a lot of the stuff that they sold before demolishing Shea Stadium, that’s for sure.
I wish I could afford to buy it… Foster didn’t deserve it anyway after his stunt that summer.
