The weekend is almost here, and I’d like to see some baseball. The only problem is that there aren’t many games around.
The Mets, Newark Bears, Trenton Thunder, Brooklyn Cyclones, Staten Island Yankees, Somerset Patriots and New Jersey Jackals are all on the road.
The Yankees are hosting the Rays, but I don’t exactly like them. Plus there’s probably a ticket availability issue since fans are hoping to see a certain milestone.
The Camden Riversharks are home, but they’re playing a pair of night games against the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs. Camden is a trek and I’m not crazy about the idea of being there after dark.
The Lakewood Blue Claws are home playing the Kannapolis Intimidators. Again, Lakewood is a trek and they’re both night games. Plus the ballpark is not really transit accessible.
Hmm… the Washington Nationals are home, hosting the Colorado Rockies… I wonder how much it would cost to make a quick trip to D.C.? 🙂
I’m going on a little two day ballpark trip this weekend. I’m heading to Amarillo tomorrow and Colorado Springs on Sunday. It is going to be a lot of time in the car, but I am looking forward to it.

Have fun!
It doesn’t look like I can get everything to work out for this weekend, but I’m going to give Washington a shot after the All-Star break.

The Mets are in DC the last weekend of July. There is a SGA on July 30th, a Jayson Werth BBH.
Go Nats!

I saw that on the schedule (though I didn’t notice the SGA) That’s the weekend I’m aiming for.
