Carter batting practice jerseys auctioned for charity

The Mets Foundation and Mets Amazin’ Memorabilia are auctioning off the batting practice jerseys worn by New York Mets players and coaches as a tribute to Gary Carter before yesterday’s game. Net proceeds from the auctions will go to the Gary Carter Foundation.

It looks like the cheapest listings at the moment are for jerseys worn by bench coach Bob Geren and bullpen catcher Dave Racaniello  – both at $125. I’d need Lucas Duda‘s jersey if I wanted to wear it, but the $300 starting price puts it outside my budget.
