Photos from Sunday’s Mets game

R.A. Dickey

I’m not sure if R.A. Dickey and Johan Santana were that good this weekend, or if the San Diego Padres lineup is that bad, but it certainly was fun to watch the New York Mets win a pair of shutouts.

With Sunday’s 2-0 victory, Dickey improves his record to 7-1 and lowered his ERA to 3.06. His 10 strikeouts give him 61 in 64.2 innings. Dickey is definitely making a case for consideration for the National League All-Star team.

More awesome than Dickey’s pitching is his choice of at-bat music. Sunday, he came up to bat to the theme from HBO’s Game of Thrones. It’s not really a conventional choice, but for him it definitely works.

I’ll keep this short since I’m heading out the door in a bit to go to today’s Mets vs. Phillies game. Hopefully Jonathon Niese can keep the winning streak going.

  1. Looks like you had a great day. you seem to get lucky watching the home team win this year. Nothing personal- but I hope that changes today.
