College of Staten Island to host NYC Mayor’s Cup Baseball All-Star Game on Friday

On Friday, June 15th, top players from the New York City Public Schools Athletic League will compete against top players from the Catholic High School Athletic Association in the NYC Mayor’s Cup Baseball All-Star Game.

Players from all five boroughs – including some who were selected in Major League Baseball’s first-year player draft last week – will take part in the game, which will begin at 7 p.m. at the College of Staten Island Softball Field, 2800 Victory Boulevard, Staten Island. Long Island native Frank Catalanotto, who finished a 14-year Major League Baseball career with the New York Mets in 2010, is scheduled to throw out the first pitch and sign autographs during the game.
