The Can-Am League held a dispersal draft for the Worcester Tornadoes players last week.
- The Newark Bears selected OF Jerod Edmondson and INF John Welch.
- Quebec took INF Cam Kneeland and LHP Kyle Regnault
- Rockland picked C Chris Torres and RHP Phil Negus
- Trois-Rivieres chose LHP Nick Serino and RHP Sean Keeler
The Can-Am League website does not mention the New Jersey Jackals selecting any players in the dispersal draft.
In October, the Bears have picked up their 2013 options on RHP Jorge L. Vasquez, LHP Matt Fitton, INF Mike Richard, RHP Kyle Morrison, RHP Omar Javier, OF James Roche, C Orlando Mercado and RHP Pedro Rivera. They also reacquired the rights to INF Juan Martinez from the Camden Riversharks to complete a September 4th trade between the two clubs.
The Can Am and the AA are supposed to play each other again in 2013.
Anyone know if the ballpark in Sussex is going to be torn down?

I wonder if it came through the storm intact. (I’d also guess that Sandy put any plans to return baseball to Atlantic City even further on the back burner.)
