2013 Topps Heritage Mets baseball cards

Topps Heritage baseball cards came out last week, and I’m pretty happy with this year’s set. We’re up to the 1964 design, which is pretty simple but appealing – at least for the Mets.

I decided to skip buying unopened packs this year and just picked up most of the singles I wanted at the Rahway baseball card show this weekend. With the David Wright shortprint card that I bought from an eBay seller, I have the full Mets team set. I also managed to find a Choo Choo Coleman buyback card and a Pumpsie Green autograph, and I got a pair of boxtopper “advertising strips.”

  1. That Pumpsie’s pretty sweet. I imagine you got it at a good price at a show. We don’t have shops or shows, here, and the online prices are way too high. But I did put the team set together via a box and an ebay Wright. Love Heritage. And next year’s the ’65…one of my most favorite designs.

    1. I did better than the average eBay price for the Pumpsie Green autograph. He wasn’t on my Heritage “shopping list,” but I couldn’t pass it up when I saw the card at the card show. And since my David Wright card came today, I think I’m done with Heritage until next year (unless I run into bargain prices on any of the other Mets autographs.)
