That must have been a heart breaker to watch. That game took as long as it did to get my wrestling autographs due to the weather fouling up Bruno Sammartino’s flight.
Honestly, when Daniel Murphy got thrown out at the plate in the 12th I kind of got the feeling that the Mets weren’t going to score another run… so it was just a case of waiting to see how long the game would go. I’m pretty sure that 20 innings will be my personal record.
