One sure sign that baseball season is getting close: today, the Trenton Thunder announced details of this year’s “Welcome North” open house event.

On Tuesday, April 1st, fans will have the chance to tour Arm & Hammer Park, watch the Thunder hold their first practice of the year in Trenton, and get autographs from players.

“We’re excited to continue the tradition of opening ARM & HAMMER Park early and giving our loyal fans a chance to meet the players,” said Thunder General Manager Will Smith in a team-issued press release.  “It’s a great opportunity for us to open the ballpark and interact with fans before our first game on April 3.”

The gates will open for the free event at 3 p.m., and fans can take a tour of the ballpark while the players are practicing from 3-5 p.m. At 5:30 p.m., the players will hold a one-hour autograph session.
