Being an umpire myself, though he’s trying to be entertaining, I think the guy is a jerk. This is a baseball game, not a show, and he shouldn’t be drawing attention to himself that way. The best ump is the guy who stays in the background.
I go to games and watch umpires to learn, not be entertained by them.

I agree – the best umpire is the one you never notice. The 30-second video clip is just about how long I’d find him entertaining.
