Mets baseball cards of the week

The 2014 New York Mets make me sad most days, so here are a pair of Jerry Koosman baseball cards to look at.

Koosman went 12-7 with a 3.14 ERA in 1970 and 6-11 with a 3.04 ERA in 1971. (Mets teams failing to score enough runs to get wins for their starting pitchers is not exactly a new thing.)

Here’s hoping for a fun time watching the Brooklyn Cyclones take on the Staten Island Yankees tonight.
