I’m slowly knocking some of the more recent Mets players off of my autograph want list. Dario Alvarez made his major league debut for the New York Mets last September, but appeared in just four games to largely forgettable results.
This year, he again got the call as Terry Collins tried in vain to find a lefty specialist reliever for his bullpen. During an appearance on Sept. 7, Alvarez struck out National League MVP candidate Bryce Harper and earned his first (and to date, only) major league victory against the Washington Nationals.

Alvarez has yet to appear on a widely-distributed baseball card, but he was part of a deck of Mets playing cards that were sponsored by Geico and distributed during spring training this year. I purchased it from David Berman.
By my last count, Alverez is the 914th player to be added to my Mets autographed baseball card collection… there are less than 100 to go.
