The Brooklyn Cyclones will be holding a “garage sale” at MCU Park tomorrow, giving fans a chance to buy undistributed promotional items and select game-used items, while supplies last. The event will start at 9 a.m. and run until noon (or whenever inventory runs out.)
Visit the Brooklyn Cyclones website for more information.
On Friday, the Trenton Thunder announced details of some of their promotions for 2016.
Eastern League teams play 71 home games, and Trenton has managed to pack in 21 fireworks dates next year. I love fireworks on the 4th of July, but they lose a lot of their appeal for me if you shoot them off every weekend. But as long as they are a better draw than the baseball game for most minor league teams, we’ll get more and more fireworks…
Other highlights include a baseball card giveaway on Friday, June 17 when the Thunder play the Binghamton Mets, three bobblehead giveaways (Greg Bird, July 15; TBA, July 29 & TBA, Sept. 2), and Superhero Night on May 6, when the team will wear special superhero-themed jerseys.
