Mets’ catcher Travis d’Arnaud made his trip to spring training memorable this year. He and his traveling companions spent 9 days driving across the country in a 30-foot RV, d’Arnaud told Daily News writer Anthony McCarron.
“I thought waking up in the Grand Canyon on New Year’s Day and going out to see the sunrise on the Canyon was pretty great,” d’Arnaud told McCarron.

They also stopped in New Orleans and Panama City Beach.
“We have about 50 to 100 pictures each,” d’Arnaud said, laughing, McCarron reports.
Which totally does not sound like enough photos for a nine day trip to me. I’m sure I would have taken at least that many during even a quick stop at the Grand Canyon. But then again, maybe d’Arnaud is better at experiencing moments rather than trying to document and share them than I am.
