Old and new money: The one-dollar note is from 1935, when the federal government still had a dollar’s worth of silver on deposit for each paper dollar circulating. The quarter, honoring Maya Angelou, is from 2022. The bicentennial half-dollar falls somewhere in the middle – it’s only as old as I am. All three were finds at work last week.
