Star Wars Rebels

How awesome was last week’s season finale of Star Wars Rebels? Ever since I read Timothy Zahn’s Heir to the Empire, I’ve wanted to see Grand Admiral Thrawn lead a space battle on screen and “Zero Hour” did not disappoint.

My friend Anne recently passed along a box of Star Wars Lego sets that her daughter didn’t want anymore. (I’m still working on getting them put back together, though the transport from the Stormtrooper battlepack of a couple of years ago turned up in one of my photos this week.)

I was surprised to find several Hasbro Star Wars action figures in the box along with the Lego sets, though. Most were from the first series of the Star Wars Rebels line from 2014. And they helped me fill in some holes in my own collection. Continue reading “Star Wars Rebels”

Rogue Monday?

I mentioned last week that my “Rogue Friday” experience on September 30th was kinda hit and miss…Target and Toys ‘R’ Us had new merchandise from Rogue One, A Star Wars Story; Walmart did not.

Well, at some point between Friday morning and Monday afternoon, Walmart finally put out their new display and merchandise. Now at this stage, I was only looking for an exclusive that could only be found at Walmart: Funko’s Pop! vinyl figure of rebel reactionary Saw Gererra.

Rogue Friday

September 30th, 2016 was #RogueFriday, the official product launch day for the new toys for Rogue One, A Star Wars Story.

Only somebody forgot to tell whoever runs the toy department at the WalMart store I visited…they had no Rogue One product on their shelves at all. But I did end up with a nice consolation prize that unintentionally fit the theme: I finally found a Marvel Legends Rogue figure to finish off as much of the Juggernaut Build-A-Figure series as I intend to complete.
